First finish for 2013

machine pieced and quilted, hand dyed fabric
8.5 by 11 inches

I started off 2013 with some piecing and quilting, finishing this little quilt
for Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. To start off the year right, I also tidied my sewing room,
fondled my new fabrics from Santa, and made a bunch of string blocks.
Happy new year of quiltmaking to all of you!

I'm a green girl and I love the simplicity of this little quilt and the quilting adds the perfect finishing touch.

Strings are high on my list this year, too. Time will tell . . .

That's a beautiful start to the new year! I really like it--my favourite colours as well. May you have many more lovely finishes in the new year!

I like the way your quilting lines followed the edges of your pieced strips, very nice. After seeing all these little projects that you've done in the last little while, I'm thinking I need more little projects in my life and enough of the big ones!

Happy New Year! You're off to a super start! And I agree with valleyp - maybe I need to do some small projects too.
